FUN BOOK WITH A GREAT MESSAGE
The Reluctant Fairy Godmother is an excellent book! Not only is it sweet and funny but it has such an important message. I appreciated the emphasis on doing kind deeds and that all children are special in their own unique ways. The story also provided meaningful discussion between my family. It’s great for families who have gone through adoption or parents that want to help their children become more aware of adoption. I highly recommend it!

REFRESHINGLY FUNNY AND EMPOWERING
I bought this for my eight year old niece who absolutely loved it. The illustrations are terrific and the story resonates with little kids about the power to believe in themselves and lean into their differences. A very empowering book with a refreshingly funny and accessible voice.

FUN & EMPOWERING
“The Reluctant Fairy Godmother” is a delightful middle grade book that speaks to the special frustration of seeing oneself as insufficiently special. Heroine Frankie’s experience of middle-child syndrome is exacerbated by her being the only adopted child in the family of achievers. But even after her extraordinary experience of being invited into a super-secret school for fairy godmothers, her frustration and sense of not belonging continue until she’s able to appreciate herself for who she is.
Highly recommend for the fun of the story and the empowering message.

ENGAGING BOOK FOR YOUNG READERS
Such a joy! “The Reluctant Fairy Godmother: and the Absolutely Positively Impossible Good Deed” is an enchanting book that will capture young readers and parents/caregivers alike. I always peruse the content of my child’s books, and with this book, I found myself turning page after page that finally my child asked when it would be their turn?!
The charismatic writing will engage the reader, while providing valuable life lessons. In such a busy and tech-saturated world, watching my child sit and read is such a wonderful occurrence. I look forward to more books from the authors!

PERFECT FOR BOTH KIDS AND ADULTS
This book was a sweet surprise. While reading to or having your kids read to you- sometimes it can be a ... chore. This book was a delight start to finish. IT's sweet without being saccharine, it's humor is smart without being sarcastic and the characters were engaging and bright- especially Frankie who is EVERY kid who felt a little "weird".
Can't recommend enough!
